		<description>Man, I remember my days as a bass drummer in those cold November parades...Have you ever hit a drum while it's raining?  It creates a really cool horizontal splash, which I'm sure could have looked really awesome with some LED mods on the drum.</description>

		<description>I wholeheartedly agree!  This is because the Veteran's Day parades tended to be cold and damp, whereas the Christmas parades were simply cold.
Also, since the Veteran's Day parade moved from town to town, there were seldom more than a few attendees.  Add to that the fact that it was held on what would otherwise have been a day off, while the Christmas one was (IIRC) in the evening.
Not that I dislike honoring veterans.  I just wish we could have done it in a way that didn't leave me with a head cold each year.</description>
